Friday night I went out to dinner with Jonathan who runs Global Infusion and is here to give us our training, one of his interns Kyle, one of my team mates Sophie, and a good friend Hannah. It was great meeting Jonathan and Kyle! They have so many great stories about places they have been, and just a huge knowledge of front-line, action, mission fields. I learned some great stuff tonight and just some stuff regarding our plans for travel.
Our flight is a direct flight from KCI (Kansas City International) to Bangkok. We will be staying at a YWAM location in Bangkok for 2 days, which will give us an opportunity to go through some temples and something they like to call a "scavenger hunt". Jonathan laughed when telling us about this so-called scavenger hunt because it will make us interact with the Thai people, WITHOUT an interpreter, haha just dumping us right in there. I guess I wouldn't have it any other way, if I want to be able to pick up any Thai while I'm there.
Jonathan also told us that depending on who is already staying at the YWAM location, our bunking could be as good as: bunk beds furnished with sheets and a pillow and air conditioning. Or as slim as a thin mat on the floor with no a/c. There are rooms in between these two extremes but just to give you an idea.
I am so excited for the work that I get to do, for the people and women I will come into contact with, and how the Holy Spirit is going to just BLAST through Phuket. Early morning ahead of me. We have a full-fledge training day Saturday before our flight Sunday morning.
I should make a list of everything I forgot, I've already been to Walmart twice haha. Night!

Hey all!
It's Wednesday night, 4 days until the flight. Getting my stuff all ready to be packed, making notes of last minute things to get, and my nerves are jumping all over the place. It's my first time out of the United States, so that in itself is scary.
God has been preparing my heart for this journey, and I know without a shadow of a doubt, that this is truly something I should be doing.
From the start God has been providing my way to get there. Blessing me with people in my life wanting to help me financially, and with constant prayer.

Human trafficking and sex tourism has always been something that I have been aware of, and when I was asked to go on this trip I was PUMPED at the opportunity to do so. These women are living in injustice, they are hurting. Its not generally an ideal trip for some, I could have gone to Australia and hung out with some cool people over there, but God just kept reminding me that if I didn't go, who would?
No one deserves to feel like they do, so God is using myself, and my team to bring them hope. To go through a healing process with them, and to just simply love them.

God has given me authority over the things I will come into contact with over there. The Holy Spirit is already over there paving the way for my feet, and the feet of the girls going with.

If you're reading this, chances are you helped me get to Thailand. Thank you, I couldn't tell you how much I appreciate you.
I love you all.
